About®

DIRECTOR. DESIGNER.
CULTURAL STORYTELLER.

(01) OMAR ACOSTA / DIRECTOR

Omar Acosta is an Emmy-nominated director and visual storyteller creating documentary films, title design and cultural work between New York City and San Juan.

His practice moves from intimate access to large-scale visual systems, connecting music, memory and identity without sanding away what makes a story specific.

(02) POINT OF VIEW

Access becomes trust. Trust becomes the frame.

The work begins before the camera rolls: inside recording rooms, archives, communities and conversations. The goal is not simply to observe culture, but to make work from within it.

(03) TWO CITIES

New York energy. Puerto Rican memory. No fixed center.

Both cities shape the language of the work: rhythm, rigor, humor and a belief that the most specific stories can travel the farthest.
